What to look for in a Siberian Cat-in a nutshell-picture a cat in a cool, winter in siberia, no extremes to freeze
-Head, rounded contours
-Body, 55 gallon drum torso
-Coat, triple coat with resilient texture

The Head
-rounded contours
-broader at the top of the skull
-full rounded muzzle
-cheekbones not prominent

The Profile
-gentle slope from forehead to the nose
-slight convex curvature before the tip
-flattened area in the forehead between ears

The Ears
-set on the sides of the head at least one ear's width apart
-tilting slightly forward
-ears wider than tall
-rounded tip

The Eyes
-rounded eyes
-outside corner set tilting toward the outside edge of the ear
-top portion of eye slightly flattened appearing to have a heavy lid

The Body
-medium length
-well muscled, barrel shaped torso
-firm belly with solid muscular feel
-legs medium in length
-heavily boned

The Coat
Triple coat, heavy, resilient texture and body
Siberians are a natural Survival Breed
-coat and pattern are secondary to type
-all colors and patterns accepted
-no correlation between coat color and eye color except for color points

Notes:
-Siberians are a slow maturing cat taking up to five years to mature
-Siberian have warm weather coats during summer months especially in the South
-Siberians are a medium cat with a range of sizes, females are smaller than males
-Siberians have a sweet expression
-Siberians tend to be playful cats
-Siberians are adaptable companions
-great family pets
